Meet the Doctor

Vanessa De La Rosa, DMD

Dr. Vanessa (aka Dr. V) grew up on the West Coast. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Oregon where she obtained degrees in both Human Physiology and Chemistry. After earning her Doctorate in Dental Medicine (DMD) and Certificate in Dental Public Health from A.T. Still University – Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health (ASDOH), Dr. Vanessa moved to Charleston, South Carolina to complete her pediatric dental residency at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). There, she received specialized training in child growth and development, sedation, hospital dentistry, and treating patients with special health care needs.

Throughout her education, Dr. Vanessa has received multiple awards for her leadership and dedication to serving her community and profession. Her areas of interests include: whole person healthcare for pediatric patients, interceptive orthodontics and alternative and advanced behavior guidance techniques.

Dr. Vanessa is a Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist and an active member of the following organizations: AAPD (American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry), ADA (American Dental Association), SCAPD (South Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentistry), SSPD (Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry), and SCDA (South Carolina Dental Association).

In her free time, Dr. V and her husband, Michael, enjoy being outdoors with their dog, Pepper, tackling home improvement projects, and cheering on their favorite sports teams.
